ENGINEER's ASSISTANT
  • The role is to accompany a fully-trained engineer with CCTV service calls and breakdowns.
  • This is a development position;  with potential for engineer training and development.
  • Candidates must live fairly locally to our office at ME17 3DD.
  • Have their own transport and be able to get to our office.
  • Must be dependable (able to get up in the mornings).
  • Of high academic standard.
  • Preferably computer literate.
  • Naturally good with technology.
  • Fit & healthy – able to assist with tools and ladders. Mostly outdoor work.
  • Bright & willing.
  • Happy to help.
  • Travel across South East region with occasional overnights away from home.
  • Salary according to age & experience, 20 days annual leave (plus BH) rising to 25 with service, contributory pension scheme and other benefits.

LEAD ENGINEER

We are looking for a special individual to lead our highly capable team of specialist CCTV engineers (team of 8).
This is essentially an office-based role. It is a newly created position, a positive opportunity brought about by continuing company growth.
If you feel that you could really make a difference – please read on:

  • Possibly not already a CCTV Expert, but capable of becoming one!
  • Experienced in service of electronic / IT equipment
  • A good communicator – able to talk to customers, suppliers, staff and engineers
  • Able to support and mentor other team members
  • With good organisational skills
  • Confident in your own knowledge, and happy to share it with colleagues
  • Specific roles to support to the office staff (MD, Account Managers (3), and Service Coordinator)
  • Liaison between office staff and the Install & Service Engineers
  • Happy to fulfil administrative functions as required – we track all work within Microsoft CRM3.0
  • Willing to assist with planning and scheduling of our engineering resource
  • Willing to do some hands-on work when necessary (in our workshop and at customer sites)
  • Willing to oversee and manage projects
  • Capable of CCTV system solution design
  • Able to provide telephone technical support to our customers
  • Should have an excellent technical background
  • Some knowledge of IT & networking
  • Must be bright & willing
  • Will probably be a technology/IT enthusiast with related hobbies or interests
  • Personable and polite (only nice people need apply)
  • Self-starter, confident with people, able to lead at site
  • Able to use standard Microsoft Office packages (further training can be provided)
  • Able to produce written work to a good standard

The right candidate is likely to be mature, experienced, and qualified to a reasonably high academic standard. Possibly a mature and respected Field Service Engineer looking to settle into a role with a little less travelling …..

CCTV ENGINEER
A rare opportunity to join our growing Team of CCTV specialists, and to have a role in that Team that really counts. This Team already plays in a league above the Nationals, if you want to feel valued and to contribute to our success – read on:

We need an additional CCTV Engineer to support our customers at sites across the South East (Kent to Southampton, Reading, Luton, Cambridge).

  • Mainly Service, but inevitably some install work occasionally.
  • Should have an excellent technical background. Need not be a ready-made CCTV specialist, but must be bright & willing. Will probably be a technology/IT enthusiast with related hobbies or interests.
  • Personable and polite (only nice people need apply).
  • Self-starter, confident with people, able to lead at site.
  • Exceptionally good with technology.
  • Able to use standard Microsoft Office packages (further training can be provided).
  • Usual benefits; company van (typically Transit/Connect type with CD & A/C), laptop, mobile phone, no call-out/standby rotas, some overtime, occasional overnight stays away.

CCTV SALES PERSON
We are currently seeking to recruit an additional key person for our Sales Department.

  • The individual will need to be capable of understanding and presenting technical solutions.
  • They will need to have excellent people-skills, and to be comfortable with a directly customer-facing role.
  • Good academic results are a pre-requisite.
  • Familiarity with Word and Excel would also be very beneficial, as all proposals need to be presented to the customer by you in a well-presented written format.
  • Some Sales experience may be beneficial, but not essential. Your role is to provide the best possible 'technical solution' to a customer's 'Operational Requirement'.
  • Security industry experience is not a requirement, but may be beneficial.
  • Engineering experience or qualifications may also be advantageous, but not essential.
  • A driving licence is essential.
  • It is very unlikely that any recruit will already have the in-depth CCTV knowledge required; this will be developed with ongoing training as necessary.
  • After a reasonable period of training and development you will be expected to ‘fly solo’.
  • If you are 'bright, willing, polite and likeable’, then there's a good possibility that you are the type of person we would like to develop into an additional key-player to serve our customers throughout the South East.
